BellaRPG was a group project for our subject Panitikan. Since we were in a computer science course, our requirement was to create a game design revolving around a Philippine literature.
As a passionate writer, I enjoyed writing most of the game document, with my groupmates helping on idealizing and suggesting on the other aspects of the game such as the player skills, entities, and weapons.
To give more identity to the document, I traced some images from the internet using a tracing paper, scanned and placed them into layouts to make them look as blueprint.
Disclaimer: Most of the images within the document were traced as is. I take no credit for any of the drawings and any images it may resemble. The links for all images traced are included in the references section of the document.
Unfortunately, at one time I formatted my laptop and had no backup of the GDD. The only one I have was a WIP.
Game Summary
Bella is a 3D action role-playing video game idea by students from CIIT College of Arts and Technology. The game is set in the pre-colonial era of the Philippines, encompassing the beauty of the country's nature before being heavily influenced by the Spanish culture, where people are one with nature. This is, however, happening in an alternate timeline where hostile spirits and deities could turn themselves into their physical forms or tether their souls to those of any animal they want and control them as they wish, wreaking havoc into barangays and tribes around the country.
Players take control of Isa, a girl that can interact with nature, to gain powers, in an attempt to gather all the magical artifacts from all around the open-map named Hinirang, some hidden inside ancient tribes hidden in forests unknown to many. After completion, the artifacts will then be given to Luna, a fine master in studying gods, to execute a ritual that will banish all evil spirits from the Philippines, freeing the country from the hostile unknowns.
